1. Who we are

WayFinder Shield is a sole proprietorship operated by Corey Walling, doing business as "WayFinder Shield" in the State of Florida, United States, serving small businesses in Lakeland, Polk County, and Central Florida. By booking or engaging any service listed on this site, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Our services

Services offered include, as described on our Services & Pricing page:

• Ongoing IT support retainers, billed monthly.
• Pay-as-you-go remote support.
• In-person support for issues that need hands-on work.
• One-time projects, quoted and agreed in writing before work begins.
• Standalone security assessments, with no ongoing retainer required.

The free security audit is a no-commitment initial assessment and does not obligate you to purchase any further service.

3. Quotes, scheduling, and payment

One-time projects and assessments are quoted in writing before work begins; we do not perform billable work beyond an agreed quote without your approval. Retainer and pay-as-you-go services are billed on the schedule described at the time you sign up. Payment is due per the terms stated on your invoice or service agreement.

4. Cancellations

Ongoing retainers may be canceled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial-period refunds. One-time projects and assessments may be canceled before work begins for a full refund of any deposit paid; once work has started, you are responsible for the portion of work already completed.

5. What we do and don't do

We provide our services in a professional and workmanlike manner. Security assessments and audits identify gaps against the checks we perform at the time of the assessment; they are a snapshot, not a guarantee that your environment is free of security risk, and they do not substitute for a comprehensive security program, penetration test, or compliance certification.

6. Access to your systems

Where a service requires access to your devices, accounts, or network, we access only what is necessary to perform the agreed work, and we document what was done. We do not make changes beyond what was agreed with you.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WayFinder Shield will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
